Shade Gardens Seed Mix
Native species shade gardens are so much more sophisticated than boring old Hosta!!! Often people express, “I can’t do anything in my yard: all I have is shade.” Shade gardens seed mix contains a mix of our region’s best and most beautiful native plants for shade. This is a wonderful opportunity to wow the unfamiliar by bringing the special native species razzle dazzle. Native woodland species truly shine as something special. Adding more, and more of them to our shade areas can do a lot to save the environment for future generations.
Most outdoorspeople enjoy hiking. Most mountain hiking trails include naturally occurring woodlands gardens. Or just plain “woods” if you will. The natural distribution of Canopy trees with an understory of shrubs, and several layers of herbaceous plants is astonishing to witness in the wild. Centuries of sophisticated wild plantings make the most elaborate, beautiful woodland gardens. We imitate nature in the home shade garden design/build process. And adding some shade gardens seed mix to a prepared garden space is an easy DIY project. (Want our landscaping crew to handle planning and installing your new shade garden?
