Purchasing an ounce of Hyssop seed can result in hundreds of plants. All of the plants in the Hyssop family have a unique physique. Certainly, their structure is a noticeable part of the larger garden design.

Giant Yellow Hyssop is listed as endangered in Connecticut, and as threatened in New York (state), Vermont and Wisconsin. Growing this plant in your butterfly garden or pollinator garden is truly an act of habitat restoration. Once the plant specimen is established and has a good year, your neighborhood is set! Even though the plant population at large is struggling, locally it does very well given any space. The plant grows quite well from seed. The flowers and foliage have an earthy, fresh aroma. Mildly spicy, but not very spicy like cousin plant Anise Hyssop.
